I did school of air, which is where you talk to your teacher and other kids over the radio. I loved projects and art, and writing, and still have the stories I wrote and illustrated. One, “the sturt pea fairy”, is typed on a typewriter, the texta drawings bled and vanished from water damage. But the Sturt pea fairy- the real queen of the desert- lives on.
